Brabant Alucast

TFT developed a multi-spindle machining centre for Brabant Alucast for machining cast aluminium brackets. The machine is known as the UMMC1204, which stands for Universal Multi Milling Centre with 12 steps and 4 machining stations. The cast brackets did not satisfy the desired accuracy tolerances, so the machine has to be capable of milling the products to precisely accurate tolerances and also produce several million per year.

Five different product types run on the machine. This makes the machine very flexible. In addition, this level of versatility reduces the machine’s payback time. TFT designed and developed a multi-spindle machining centre capable of delivering a fully machined product every three seconds, regardless of product type.
